Life still happens when you’re OTR

My kids have had so many questions about ALL that is going on in the world. How do they respond to police of they come in contact, will war (bombs) come to our country, will we have to hide our faith, why are gay right so important, why did the whole white house turn into a rainbow, did Martin Luther kings work not change the world? Here’s my answer about gay marriage…
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Matthew 7:3

It’s NOT our job to JUDGE anyone or argue our point. Not all our friends will view our life here on earth and eternity the same as we do. Our life and every DECISION we make is a CHOICE. There’s no room for self righteousness or perfection in our home. Lets keep our eyes focused on the CROSS.
“As for me and my house we will serve the Lord” Joshua 24:15

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself.” Gal5.14

We are ALL sinners. I am on my knees daily asking for forgiveness. The world will tell you to accept this, be like this.. But as I’ve always told you. This is not our permanent home, don’t be a follower, be yourself and know who you serve and what your willing to stand up for! Respecting others choices doesn’t mean you agree, realize we have our own backyard to take care of and our faith calls us to pray and be examples of Christ’s love. The most LOVING thing I can do for anyone is to pray for them.

Do I have to agree and support all my friends decisions? NO I don’t.. I DO NOT support same sex marriage. Do they have to support my choice and belief, NO they don’t and I’d never expect anyone to be just like me in order to be my friend. Not supporting a certain lifestyle doesn’t mean I can’t TRULY LOVE someone. There is no sin greater than the other, sin is sin and trust me I sin and fail the lord daily.
Being a Christian does not make me perfect or better than anyone else. Not all my views are correct and I do not have an answer for everything. I do know that We all have a DEFINITE   appointment with the Lord and I CHOOSE to raise my children and live my life according to the living word that the Lord has given us, The BIBLE.  In a perfect world I wouldn’t loose any friends due to this issue but as we all can see the world is far from perfect.

There’s a few phrases I have say to my kids DAILY. “Put your seatbelts on” lol, “Leave each other alone”, “How would you like it if he did that to you?”, “Say you’re sorry and tell your brother you love him”, “TREAT each other the way YOU want to be treated, with love and respect”
Kids, the bottom line is you gotta LOVE without judgement because Without love we have nothing❤️ I pray you will remember

Love,

Mommy💖

1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant

5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;

6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.

7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,

10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.

11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.

12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. http://esv.to/1Cor13.1-13
